John A. Mehan
Board Chair
Managing Director, Public Finance, Robert W. Baird & Co, Inc.
Bio
John is a St. Louis native having attended both St. Louis University High School and St. Louis University.  In 1987, he moved with his family to Milwaukee to take a position with Robert W. Baird & Co.  At Baird, he is a Managing Director in the Public Finance Department and serves as the Manager of the Milwaukee Public Finance group.  John has worked with municipalities, schools and 501c3 borrowers for over 25 years assisting them in accessing the financial markets. John and his wife, Katie have been active supporters of NJA in its mission to educate youth for a life of Christian leadership and service.

Joaquin Altoro
Vice President of Commercial Banking, Town Bank
Bio
As a proud native to Milwaukee's vibrant community, he has become well-acquainted with the diverse neighborhoods in order to serve its commercial banking needs.  He is a multi-faceted community banking leader having both significant success aligning business strategies/objectives and a personal commitment to the unique borrowing and economic development needs of diverse income customers and their neighborhoods.  Joaquin has expertise in commercial banking, building supportive internal lending processes, and establishing and enhancing public and private partnerships.  Through an engaged, high-energy approach and previous entrepreneurial experience, this experience complements strong buisness/quantatative acumen for advising community development projects and assisting individuals and businesses realize their current and future goals.  When Joaquin is not working, he is a self-proclaimed foodie.  His travels and free time seem always to revolve around food.  He enjoys cooking food from around the world for his brave and adventurous family.  Some of Joaquin's positions within the community include City Plan Commissioner for the City of Milwaukee, Board of Directors for Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Wisconsin (HCCW), Board of Directors for SHARP Literacy, and Senior Mentor for the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee.  He and his wife live in Milwaukee and have three children.

Jaime Alvarado
President, APM Milwaukee, Inc.
Bio
Jaime is president of APM Milwaukee, Inc., an investment and property management corporation. He serves as the President of the Rotary Amigos de Milwaukee, he is a member of the UWM Foundation board of Directors, Scholarship Committee and he is a board member of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee where he also co-chairs the Fund Development Committee. He is a founding Board member and committee Chairperson of the UWM Latino Alumni Chapter. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He lives in Milwaukee.

Terry D. Briscoe
CEO, National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc.
Bio
Terry is an alumnus of Marquette University High School and Marquette University. Terry is active in the United Way Cabinet and is an Emeritus Metropolitan YMCA Board member after serving for 17 years. He is the past recipient of Marquette High School’s alumni service award and Marquette University’s College of Business Administration professional achievement award. He and his wife, Mary, have four adult children: Scott, Stephanie, Mike and Chris.

Sandra Chavez
Bio
Sandra is a full-time professor in the Human Service Program at Milwaukee Area Technical College. She has also taught as an adjunct professor at the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, the University of Michigan, and Marquette University. Prior to her current position, Ms. Chavez was the associate executive director for Programs for the Elderly at the United Community Center. Ms. Chavez is a board member of the Latino Alumni Chapter of UWM, President of the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare Alumni Chapter Board, and a member of the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee. She also mentors to graduate students who are preparing for a career in social work. Ms. Chavez holds a BA from Wayne State University and an MSW from the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, where she was the recipient of the Catherine Chilman Award and the Graduate of the Last Decade Award. She lives in Wauwatosa and is a member of St. Sebastian Parish. Ms. Chavez has one son, Ili Subhan, who is an immigration and business attorney in Milwaukee.

Eric J. Fors
Bio
Eric was the project manager for Nativity’s remodeling of its current school building on South 29th Street. Eric holds a degree in Structural Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (1988). Eric and his wife, Laurie, have five children; Allie Halliwell, Ryan Mironczuk, Christain Trentadue, Meaghan Fors and Paul Trentadue.

Fr. Doug Leonhardt, S.J.*
Bio
Fr. Doug Leonhardt, S.J., is a Milwaukee native who attended Marquette University High School. After he was ordained a Jesuit priest, his first assignment in 1971 was Principal of MUHS, his alma mater. Next, he served as director of the Jesuit seminary in St. Paul, MN. From there, he became Pastor of Gesu Church in Milwaukee. In 1988, he was assigned to the Jesuit leadership team of the Jesuits’ Wisconsin Province, a geographical region of six Midwest states. In 1995, he became President of MUHS for an eight-year term. For part of a sabbatical in the Fall of 2003, he spent three months giving retreats in Kenya and Uganda. In September, 2004, he began working at Marquette University in the Office of Mission and Identity.

Fr. Daniel C. McDonald, S.J.*
Provincial Assistant for Higher Education / Superior of the Arrupe House Community
Bio
Fr. McDonald taught at Marquette University, worked at the Jesuit Conference in Washington, D.C, then back to Marquette University as the First Director of the Office of Mission and Identity.  In 2002, he went to the Gregorian University in Rome to teach and head the Office of Strategic Planning.  In the more recent past, he was Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Vice Rector for Administration, then Vice Rector of the University.  Recently returned to Milwaukee, he is now Provincial Assistant for Higher Education as well as Superior of the Arrupe House Community.

Dave Murphy

Bio
Originally born in Dublin, Ireland, Dave received a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1983). He has over 25 years experience in the marketing and advertising field. He was with the marketing communication firm, Versant prior to joining Marquette in 2008. Dave is a member of the Downtown Milwaukee Rotary Club, where he currently serves as chair of the Marketing Committee. He and his wife, Margaret, live in Wauwatosa and have two children, Alex and Tess.

Chad Neumann
Senior Manager, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Milwaukee, WI
Bio
Chad is an assurance senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), responsible for several audit clients based in Wisconsin. From 2008 - 2010, Chad and his family lived in Cologne, Germany for an international tour with PwC where he served on several multi-national engagements. He earned his bachelors of business administration with emphasis in accounting from Marquette University and is a licensed CPA. He lives in New Berlin with his wife, Kelly and their three children.

Jeff Ruidl
Bio
Jeff is a Director at Northwestern Mutual Real Estate Investments, responsible for origination and management of debt and equity investments in greater New York City. He earned his MBA from the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his law degree from Marquette University, and is a graduate of Marquette University High School. He received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee. He lives in Whitefish Bay with his wife, Katie, and their three young children.


Fr. Warren J. Sazama, S.J.*
President, Marquette University High School
Bio
Fr. Sazama entered the Jesuits in 1964 and was ordained in 1977. Fr. Sazama was a long-time teacher at Marquette High before coordinating vocations for the Jesuits. He has worked for several years with the Congress for Working America and the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. His undergraduate degree is from St. Louis University and he holds Masters Degrees from both Theology Union and the Jesuit School of Theology-Berkeley.

Jay E Schwister

Bio
Jay graduated from Marquette University in 1984 and entered the investment management business that year with First Wisconsin Trust Company. In 1987, he moved to Boston to take a portfolio management position with Putnam Investments. In late 2002, he and his wife moved back to Milwaukee to raise their family. In 2004, he joined Board Advisors, the institutional fixed income management group within Robert W. Baird, to resume his career in fixed income portfolio management. In his spare time, Jay enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, participating in sports and spending time at their second home on Kennebunk Beach in Southern Maine . He lives in Elm Grove with his wife and two children.

Sue Smith
President, Nativity Jesuit Academy
Bio
As Nativity's 5th president, Sue has more than 20 years of leadership experience in strategic operational and organizational management in nonprofit institutions. She has extensive expertise in marketing, community relations and fundraising, where she most recently served as the vice president of marketing and communications for the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. She also served as vice president of marketing, financial aid and enrollment management for Alverno College where she designed and implemented a $1.5 million multimedia branding campaign, achieving national media coverage. Prior to her work at Alverno College, she served in several administrative roles at Marquette University High School for more than 17 years, ending as vice president of administration.

Sue brings a strong orientation and commitment to Jesuit education, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University and a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University of Chicago. She served for six years on the Board of Directors for Nativity Jesuit Middle School working to advance the school and has led in a variety of organizational settings that combined her philanthropic and her marketing and communications background.

Bio
Former board member of Marquette University High School, current board member of the Academy of Science and Math, Milwaukee Science Education Consortium, Milwaukee Public School’s PT3 Advisory Council, and CESA 1 Steering Committee for Proficiency Based Education. Tia has received the Marquette High School Spirit of St. Ignatius Award, Cardinal Stritch University Staff Recognition Award and the Cardinal Stritch College Teaching and Campus Leadership Award. Tia has a B.A. in History and Elementary Education, Masters in Curriculum & History, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration. She and husband, Wayne, have one son, Christopher.

Joseph (Joe) L. Delgadillo
Bio
Joe is former Chairman of Nativity’s board of directors and has served as a mentor to two Nativity alumni during their high school careers. Joe is CEO of a consulting business, Delgadillo & Associates, LLC, which focuses on helping small to mid-size companies address growth opportunities and challenges.  He is a member of the board at Trade Press Media Group and Cardina Stritch Unviversity.  He and his wife, Vickie, have three adult children.

Author of “The Gaspar Report,” George was the founding Chairman of Nativity’s board of directors. He is former Chairman of the Performing Arts Center; Member of War Memorial Board of Trustees; Chairman, Investment Committee, Gesu Parish; Director of the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Foundation. George and his wife, Anna Clair, have five children.

Don is a partner in the Milwaukee office, and is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Services Group. Don focuses his practice on corporate law, with an emphasis on clients in the technology and business services areas. He is uniquely positioned to assist clients with sophisticated transactions and related corporate governance issues, having honed his business, legal and leadership skills both as a corporate attorney and strategic advisor to global businesses. Don also serves as an advisor to Warburg Pincus in New York, where he advises the firm on its investments in payments and transaction processing. Warburg Pincus is a leading global private equity firm with more than $25 billion under management. Before joining Warburg Pincus and returning to Quarles & Brady, Don was president of the International Group and senior executive vice president of Corporate Development, General Counsel and Secretary of Metavante Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:MV). Don returned to Metavante in 2004 with the company’s acquisition of NuEdge Systems, where he served as president. Previously, he held senior management positions with Fiserv (president, Lending Systems Division), Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (senior vice president and chief executive officer, Trust and Investment Management Group) and at Metavante (senior vice president and chief financial officer). Layden began his career practicing law as a partner at Quarles & Brady, where he concentrated his practice in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions.Layden also serves on the board of Firstsource Solutions, Ltd., a public company headquartered in Mumbai, India, and traded on the National Stock Exchange of India (FSL). Firstsource Solutions, Ltd. provides business process outsourcing services for clients in bank and financial services, health care and telecommunications.

Robert T. Monday

Bob is a Milwaukee native and graduate of Marquette University High School (1959) and Marquette University (1963). He is the retired president of Monday, Ott, Doherty Associates. He is a member of the board for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southeastern Wisconsin. Bob was recognized as Nativity’s 2005 Mentor of the Year for his volunteerism as mentor for Alonzo Macias (NJMS ’02, MUHS ’06, MSOE) Bob has three adult children, Jeff, Tim and Kris.

Scott has received Marquette University's College of Business Administration's professional achievement award. Scott received an MBA. in Finance and Investments from the Applied Security Analysis Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BS in Accounting and Finance from Marquette University. He is a member of the Association of Investment Management and Research, the Chicago Society of Security Analysts, and the Board of The Applied Security Analysis Program at the University of Wisconsin. Bio
Julie earned Bachelor Degrees in English and Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (1996). Julie is the former president of the United Performing Arts Fund of Milwaukee. She is a board member for Milwaukee Shakespeare and the Sharon Lynn Wilson Arts Center. Julie is a member of Milwaukee’s Downtown Rotary, Tempo International, and the University Club’s young members group. She served on Notre Dame Middle School’s steering committee. In 2006, Julie was recognized with The Business Journal’s Woman of Influence Award. She and her husband, Mark Wiesman, have two daughters: Anne and Mary.

Bob is former Chairman of Nativity's board of directors. He holds a degree in mass communications from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Bob has been the mentor for two graduates of Nativity while they attended Thomas More High School. In 2003, Bob was recognized as Nativity Jesuit Middle School’s “Mentor of the Year.” He has been involved in the Rotary Club and is a past board member of the Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation and the Sales & Marketing Executives of Milwaukee. Bob is a member of St. Jerome parish in Oconomowoc. He is married to Rebecca.

Mike is also an attorney with Northwestern Mutual. A Milwaukee native, Mike graduated from Marquette University High School (1992), Santa Clara University (1996) and Marquette University Law School (2000). He is a former attorney with Stupar, Schuster & Cooper. Mike and his wife, Tricia, live in Wauwatosa with their two children.

Vanessa Solis
Director of Elementary School
Bio
Vanessa is Nativity Jesuit Academy's Director of Elementary School Programs. She taught our school's first two four-year-old kindergarten classes. Prior to joining the NJA team, Vanessa taught four-year-old kindergarten at Southside Community Prep, as well as worked as Manager of Community Development for the school, and served as a bilingual 2nd grade teacher at La Causa Charter School as a Teach for America corps member. Prior to her education career, she worked at Wisconsin's State Capitol as a legislative aide to Wisconsin's first Latino State Representative, Pedro Colón, who represented Milwaukee's south side. Vanessa is currently pursuing an M.A. in Educational Leadership through the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education. In 2014, she earned her M.A. in Urban Education from Cardinal Stritch University. Vanessa graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 after double-majoring in Sociology and Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies.

John Meuler

Bio
John joined the faculty of Nativity as a volunteer teacher in 2004 after graduating from Marquette University with degrees in English and History. He pursued his Master's Degree in Education at Alverno College while teaching and coaching. John directed the summer camp in Mercer, WI from 2008-09. As Director of Graduate Support from 2011-15, John coordinated the support network for Nativity graduates enrolled in area Catholic schools. In the summer of 2016, John completed an MBA in Educational Leadership as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at MSOE. Currently, John serves as the Director of Middle School and teaches 8th grade English. John lives in Milwaukee with his wife, Alli, and their daughter, Isabelle.

Kyle Dlabay
Advancement Director
Bio
Kyle joined Nativity in 2016 as Advancement Director. He earned his Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication. Kyle served as Director of Special Events for the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) prior to his time at Nativity. Also, Kyle worked in the athletic department for the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and as a producer, reporter and anchor for Newsradio 620 WTMJ and Sportsradio 1250 WSSP. Kyle and his wife, Anne, live in Milwaukee.

Denise Montpas
Business Manager
Bio
Denise graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Accounting and shortly thereafter passed the CPA exam and became a licensed CPA.  Her career began in public accounting where she worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers for four years in the audit practice.  Denise's other work experience includes several large Milwaukee companies:  Rockwell Automation, GE Healthcare, and most recently, FIS, where she was promoted to Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.  Denise and her husband, Jeremy, live in Muskego.
